{"id":465,"date":"2022-03-31T12:18:48","date_gmt":"2022-03-31T10:18:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/attorneyatcode.com\/?p=465"},"modified":"2024-04-09T22:22:58","modified_gmt":"2024-04-09T20:22:58","slug":"march-finds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/attorneyatcode.com\/cs\/march-finds\/","title":{"rendered":"Fav Finds 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">March has been a rather hard month for humanity, consumed mostly by fears of the horrors of war in Ukraine and solidarity with the people affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There have been some significant launches of legal tech initiatives and databases, making the space easier to navigate, which made the doomscrolling a little more bearable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/dead-lawyers-society\">Dead Lawyers Society<\/a><\/strong> \ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\udde6<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the aggression of Russia against Ukraine continues, it is <em>always<\/em> the best time to help. Legal Technologists are doing their best, too. Once Ukrainian legal tech group with the coolest name, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/dead-lawyers-society\/\">Dead Lawyers Society, <\/a>now works on collecting the evidence of war crimes commited in Ukraine and <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/dead-lawyers-society\">documenting the #BaratWar<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If interested in some of the international initiatives, you can also see<a href=\"https:\/\/attorneyatcode.com\/cs\/2022\/03\/09\/how-to-help-ukraine-as-a-lawyer\/\"> my post <\/a>on Ukraine-focused legal tech initiatives (and let me know if more should be added).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legaltechnologyhub.com\">LegalTechHub<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jplink\">Jeroen Plink<\/a> a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Nicola_Shaver\">Nicola Shaver<\/a> launched a legal tech solutions database, which shows the sheer amount of legal tech solutions out there. It is great to navigate and I browse through it like 2002 IKEA catalogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was about time that the legal tech space gets its Yellow Pages. I hope that more content and demos will pop up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.claustack.com\">Claustack<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The team behind <a href=\"https:\/\/onenda.org\">oneNDA<\/a>*, spearheaded by Electra Japonas and Roisin Noonan (<em>Full disclaimer: I am a huge fan of oneNDA!<\/em>), has launched Claustack. Claustack is an open source platform where lawyers can collaborate on contract clauses to create market standards, and I am there for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/attorneyatcode.com\/cs\/2022\/02\/03\/five-5-mindsets-every-lawyer-needs-to-drop-to-innovate\/\">I usually hate when someone says <em>this is market standard<\/em>, because it is sometimes quite an arbitrary occurence<\/a>, but I am willing to think that this community will change my mind. <strong>We need more open source &amp; transparent law.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">*<em>For those of you who don&#8217;t know oneNDA yet &#8211; it is a club based on &#8211; you guessed it &#8211; one NDA template that is acceptable to everyone.<\/em> <em>Rule no. 1: Never negotiate oneNDA.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Less time spent on unconstructive negotiation of a completely standard document? Legal Innovation lvl 5000.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.docautodatabase.com\">Doc Auto<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Staying on the topic of databases &#8211; the fantastic BAM! Legal have put together a groundbreaking document automation database, including their favourite picks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As you can see from simple scrolling, the space is packed and a little overwhelming. BAM! Legal are the frontrunners on the market, and are doing a great job helping to navigate around doc auto. Huge kudos to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BamLegal\">Catherine<\/a> and her team!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5. I did 365+ days on Duolingo!<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a personal one &#8211; yay me!
