Attorney@Code speaking!
I am very happy that you have decided to join me on this adventures on all things law, code, legal tech, legal design, and innovation in general!
Here is a snapshot of all you can expect in the next couple months on this website!
1. Legal Tech
Legal Tech to me means software and technologies that are intended to improve the way law exists in the society. It may encompass a whole range of uses, from improving delivery of legal services to access to justice to empowering people to understand law better.
I love legal tech and the community that surrounds it. From Bucerius Legal Tech Essentials to the TikTok of Alex Su, I hope to show you some cool things, a couple of jokes, and a whole lot of inspiration.
2. Legal Design
Legal Design is a way of assessing and creating legal services, with a focus on how usable, useful, and engaging these services are. (Margaret Hagan, Law by Design).
I am a big fan of Margaret Hagan’s work and all of her creative successors. I am also a former art school kid, whose primary creative outlet was a teen blog. So you’re in for some visual treats.
3. Coding Motivation
I took up coding in 2020 (before the pandemic!), and if we ever met, you know how much I love it. It has completely transformed my law game, the way I learn languages, and the way I interact with outer world. I will do my best to encourage you to give it a go – it is hard and rewarding and serves the lawyer particularly well.
I plan on making a series on how to start, have fun, and keep your motivation even if you have:
- a super demanding day job;
- a boyfriend;
- seven different Japanese study sources;
- a dozen of your closest friends; and/or
- kinda like to bake;
- (or if you are me, all of the above).
4. Reviews
Being self-taught in languages and programming, I spend a whole lot of time studying stuff online. I tinker with code and software, try out new things, and if you’re interested, I will share some of the sand dust from my efforts with you too.
In exchange for that, I will always appreciate any tips or hints at what I can try next!
5. Memes, puns, and a whole lot of rants
I will exercise my best efforts to serve you with a reasonable amount of jokes about big law, myself, house styles, and people who dare to use the term non-lawyer, every chance I get.
Final Provisions
If you read all the way until here without getting bored and leaving for twitter, it looks we’re all set for a lovely blogger-bloggee relationship. So please go ahead and add yourself to my mailing list, and as a sign of your commitment, leave me a hello in the comment section or a like.
